Mr. DeGennaro has over 35 years of experience in providing financial planning and income tax assistance to individuals, partnerships, trusts, LLCs, and corporations. His responsibilities also include staffing and managing audits, compilations and review engagements. He has extensive experience in accounting and taxation for the following industries: government contractors; churches; automobile dealerships; professional firms; transportation industry organizations; construction contractors; and non-profit organizations. He is a member of the Virginia State Board of Accountancy, the American Institute of CPA's and the Maryland Society of Accountants.
Ms. Bruening has over 25 years of experience providing accounting, audit and tax services to small businesses, not-for-profits and small business owners. Her responsibilities include staffing and managing audits, compilation and review engagements as well as small business and individual taxation. Additionally, she is the partner in charge of parish audits for the Archdiocese of Washington. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Fernandes began as a sole practitioner in 1979. Under his leadership, the firm flourished and expanded to three locations with over forty staff, including eleven CPAs. He had over 45 years of diversified experience and imparted that knowledge to staff and clients alike. He took pride in the fact that he created a family environment, in which he employed several family members. He will be remembered and missed by all staff, as we continue to carry on his legacy.
Mr. Fernandes has a Masters in Accountancy from James Madison University. Has related experience in corporate, partnership and personal Income tax preparation, preparation of compiled financial statements, audit staffing and client management. Over 10 years experience.
Mr. DeGennaro is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Over 5 years experience includes audit staff, personal and business income tax preparation, financial statement preparation, government contract bookkeeping and accounting and personal property return preparation. Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, Word, ProSeries and other accounting and income tax software.
Ms. Logan has extensive experience resulting from small business ownership and public accounting including: Payroll; Payroll taxes; Bookkeeping; Inventory; Accounts payable; Accounts receivable; Human resources management. Expert in Quickbooks and other software applications.
Ms. Blankenship has over 10 years of general bookkeeping experience including churches, church schools, gas stations and other clients. Experience includes payroll and payroll tax preparation, bill paying, reconciliations of various accounts, church software and general bookkeeping.
Ms. Fernandes specializes in accounting, bookkeeping and payroll for churches and related entities. Expert in the following software: ACS, Accountrack, Shelby, CMS, and QuickBooks. Also an expert in government contract billing, payroll, bookkeeping and administration.
Ms. Jameson has two years of bookkeeping experience with Fernandes DeGennaro & Associates. She specializes in bookkeeping for churches using a variety of software including Quickbooks, ACS Technologies, Realm, PushPay, and Givelify. She enjoys reading and logic puzzles with her family in her spare time.
Ms. Puckett has over 10 years of bookkeeping and cost analysis experience. Staff in charge of Firehouse Subs in-house bookkeeping operations.
